I think WordPress as a backend API consumed by Next.js/Nuxt.js is a powerhouse that's currently slept on. You get all the performance, with the comfort and familiarity of WP.

You realize you've matured as a Bubble developer when you're not afraid to talk about its downsides. SEO, page load speed, animations... all of these are MUCH better on Webflow or WordPress. Bubble is awesome and improving every day, but it shouldn't be used for everything!

I was supposed to be flying to San Diego today. Sadly, I am not going. I am really sorry I will not be able to speak and meet all those wonderful WordPress people. My father is having surgery today. On top of that, we’re in a hectic situation at Yoast.

Almost got a $150k WordPress project with a partner. At the meeting, they lowered their budget below $100k so the partner dropped it. When a client makes such sudden decisions, it might not be worth running after them, even if the $$$ looks like a dream.

#100Devs, you can ABSOLUTELY do this. I had no coding experience when I first made websites for paying clients on SQSP/WordPress. They didn't want to make a site & were happy to pay someone to do it. Don't worry about your HTML/CSS! It's not as important as you think.

Why would a client want to pay for a website when they can just code it (for "free") with: - Shopify - Wix - WordPress - WebFlow ??? Here's my answer 🧵👇

Today, I cowboy-coded and fixed a bug. 1. Didn't have the site setup locally 2. It was urgent 3. Had SFTP credentials 4. Knew I can revert it back in SFTP if a fatal error occurs 5. I am a señor WordPress developer Don't follow this advice.

I think some people misunderstand the intent of my rants against #WordPress developer experience, so let me clarify: Yes, DX sucks, and I'm calling it out so it can be improved. No, you shouldn't abandon WP just for that! WP is still the best tool for a large number of jobs.

WordPress is a dangerous tool. It allows users to play around with plugins/themes and then blame developers that something doesn't work. My wife installed plugin WP Members to disable comments and somehow blocked all public posts, then "help, a virus attacked my page" Facepalm.
