I imagine that, moving forward, Democrats will be better on the H1B visa question and Indians in general. At least they should be, as this is a winning issue. 1) The “Silicon Valley Right” has settled on Trump and the GOP and won’t spread its influence elsewhere. The Democrats being more anti-Russian plays into this. 2) The Democrats have become the party of White middle- and upper-level management, whereas the GOP is the party of proles and small-business owners. It is in the Democrats’ direct material interest to suppress economic competition to this major voting bloc. 3) A lot of Christian emotionality is bound up in African-Americans, as liberated slaves. Indians are just more easily hate-able and scapegoat-able. Liberals won’t bat an eye when talking about kicking out the “H1Bs.” LFG!
