Lark Davis
@TheCryptoLarkSo the government wants to Tax your income Tax you every time you buy something Tax your wealth Tax your unrealized gains Tax your realized gains Tax your property Tax you when you die And yet they can just print money whenever they want, which is just another tax as it devalues your existing money... Fiat is slavery, and your government hates you and wants you to be poor
Cory Judson
@CoryJudsonHere is the thing about capital gains. It is income. If the person swinging a hammer, or putting in an IV, or growing the food, or teaching your kids has to pay taxes on their full income, why again should millionaire investors not have to pay taxes on 75% of theirs?
The Millennial Money Woman
@The_MMWIf you don't understand taxes, you'll never be truly wealthy. Here are 11 tactics the rich use to legally pay less tax:
Luke Belmar 👽
@lukebelmarIf the government can just print money and spend it without asking then why are we even paying taxes? Makes zero sense.
Ramit Sethi
@ramitDo I wish I lived in a low-tax state? No. Fuck no. I’d rather live in states with abundant social services, voting rights, women’s rights, labor rights, environmental protection, LGBTQ+ rights, plentiful public spaces, longer lifespans with a higher quality of life, diverse opportunities in public education, assistance for the homeless and less advantaged, higher taxes on the rich (including me), growing public transportation, low crime, and an educated workforce You know, states in America’s heartland, like California and New York
Sam Parr
@thesamparrFun fact: cash back from your credit card isn't taxed. I knew a person who lived off their business's cash back from their card. Was like $200-$250k/year. I think, but am not sure, that there's a limit (like $300k or so).

Eric Matheny 🎙️
@ericmmathenyI have no problem with taxes, so long as they go to improve the lives of Americans. I don’t work my ass off to buy Zelenskyy another vacation home.
Times Algebra
@TimesAlgebraIND🚨 INCOME TAX PAYING POPULATION : India - 2% China - 10% USA - 43% UK - 59.7% Germany - 61.3% France - 78.3% Give your comments. "Just about 1-2 per cent of all Indians actually pay income tax and contribute as much as 27% of India’s total tax collections" ⚡- FM Nirmala Sitharaman presented this data as part of a reply to a question in the Lok Sabha few months ago
Mr Sinha (Modi's family)
@MrSinha_How many of you know that in 1974, Indira Gandhi proposed a 97.5% tax? If you earned Rs 10k, the government would take away Rs 9750 , leaving you with just 250 rupees. What Pappu ji is saying isn't a new idea.. They've always believed in making Indians live like beggars, only the family should have the right to enjoy a lavish lifestyle.
IRS: you owe us taxes Me: how much do I owe? IRS: you get to figure that out Me: can I just pay what I want? IRS: no we know exactly how much you owe but you have to guess the number too Me: what if I guess wrong? IRS: jail
Crypto Tea
@CryptoTea_If you buy a haircut for $100, the barber gets $70 after income tax then the barber buys a painting for $70, the artist gets $50 after income tax then the artist buys personal training for $50, the trainer gets $35 after income tax and so on until $0 left and the government owns all of the $100
David Sacks
@DavidSacksLet’s say you build a business from scratch and qualify for Biden’s new 25% unrealized gains tax. So you have to sell 25% of your business to pay the tax. But now you have to pay 44.6% cap gains + 13.3% CA on that. So you actually have to sell ~37%. Is this right?
