I tried to shortcut writing. The results. 0 engagement. I've tried Chat GPT I've tried Google voice. I've tried a ghost writer. Nothing beats writing your own stories. Agree or disagree?

Copywriting 101: Don't sell features, sell benefits. For example, imagine you sell pencils. And you sell those pencils in packs of 7. Don't JUST state the feature: 'Sold in packs of 7'. Sell the benefit OF the feature: 'One stop to the store gives you enough pencils to last a WHOLE month'. The reason this works? Because humans don't buy with logic, they buy with emotion. State features β†’ sell benefits β†’ make more sales. Apply this same technique to hooks in your content. Don't write hooks like: '5 cold outreach tips' Write hooks like: '5 cold outreach tips to improve deliverability and stop hitting spam boxes' Tap into your readers emotions and desires. This is how you write easy money hooks. And attract more people who have emotional problems that you solve with your products and services. P.S. what’s a writing tip you’d like to share?

Doug D'Anna, Million Dollar Copywriter Coach

@dougdanna

I saw scammers on Reddit trying to find my Million Dollar Copywriting Formula so they could resell it. The joke's on them. You won't find it written down anywhere for that reason. You see, just like a jiu-jitsu master shows his secrets ONLY with his prodigies, I teach the same way. Privatelyβ€”one-on-one. The two of us, working on copy together. Transferring my knowledge the old school way. From one person to another. To be sure, it doesn't scale. But I don't care. Coaching is my retirement job. Seeing my students' success is my greatest reward. Yeah, I charge a lot for my coaching. But if you can find an OG copywriter with 38 years of writing hundreds of winning emails, direct mail packages, and video sales letters from on the shelf at Safeway, then I would go there. But frankly, you can't. You see, I've seen hundreds of split-run tests. I've used the results to create my Million-Dollar Copywriting Formulaβ€”that not only generated over $100 million but also beat the control 70% of the time. The times I didn't win, I could rework my lead in about one hour and gain back the control. It is those inside secrets I can show my clients personally that can't be replicated on PDF. The knowledge transfers directly to their minds and then becomes a part of their world. Just like in jiu-jitsu. Oh, and did I mention I'm a double black belt in Judo and Jiu-jitsu? Or that I won the world masters three times. Or that I completed four marathons. it is that kind of winning mentality I bring to my course and my students. For those people who want to try to steal it. Good luck. But what you don't get is me. If you are the kind of person who is serious about improving your copywriting skills, achieving success in your careers or businesses, and are willing to invest in high-quality coaching and mentorship to reach your goals... ... then you will benefit from my expertise, personalized instruction, and proven results in the pursuit of upping your copywriting game. You know where to find me.

My copywriting warm-up: 1) read a sales letter (or two) from Swiped 2) write out benefit bullets a) list out all features b) turn those all into benefits 3) lay out a checklist for everything I want to write Then I turn off my brain and let the words come out.

In copywriting... It pays to be specific, literally

Quick Copywriting Tip Use micro commitments in your copy... Words or short phrases designed to get a β€œyes” from your prospects. Examples: β€’ Right? β€’ Got it? β€’ Agree? β€’ Correct? β€’ Understand? β€’ Makes sense? The more yeses you get the better.

Reading copywriting books is a great way to start. But don't fall into the loop of learning without application. Read > Apply > Makes mistakes > Learn > Repeat.

Bad copywriting: - What you sell - What it includes - Buy now Good copywriting: - The problem you solve - Proof that you can solve it - Why it's painful - How you solve it - Why you're unique - How you minimize risk - More proof - Buy now - Even more proof
