One set to failure with slow reps, where you continue trying to move the weight for several seconds after it stops moving... is totally different to 3 or more sets with faster reps where you leave several reps in reserve.

Lifting isn't just about sets where you move a weight from A to B. How you do it is key. A lot of people are leaving several reps in reserve and never truly getting near failure. Makes a huge difference.

Muscle loss is not an option if you want to live your best quality of life for ALL of your life. Keeping your protein intake up and resistance training is how you avoid it.

Leave yourself extra calories for the evening, your diet is more likely to go to shit from dinner onwards. I like to hit 60% of my protein goal with the first 40% of my day's calories. This makes hitting the rest of the goal easier.

I'm in a mentoring program which includes an online course with tasks attached to the modules. My coach said I should set aside TEN HOURS per week for this. My first thought was 'impossible' But I've now blocked out the 10 hours. If it's important enough you find the time.
