At Tweet Hunter, we recently released an AI assistant to help you with content creation and Twitter growth.
It can virtually do anything, from brainstorming tweet ideas to writing DMs and thread hooks. But this AI shines best when combined with human effort (aka you).
As you know, many top Twitter creators use Tweet Hunter to write their tweets and threads.
And, as you've probably noticed by now, writing a thread hook (at least one that gets attention) is one of the biggest content creation challenges on Twitter.
One thing we've done over the past few months to solve this is compile the best fill-in-the-blank hook templates (Part I, Part II, and Part III) so it can be sort of a “plug and play.”
But what does that have to do with AI?
Well, even though the AI assistant can help you write hooks from scratch, we wondered what would happen if you combined it with our fill-in-the-blank templates, as those are already proven.
The results are… outstanding.
Let's look at how to use this combination to write your thread hooks.
Step #1: Pick your thread hook templates
There are two ways you can find proven hook templates. You can either look at what some of the top creators are already doing (using advanced search), or you can take a look at our fill-in-the-blank hook library.
We suggest you do both, but we'll pick four templates we already have for the article's sake.
These are what they are:
The template
Looking for (audience desire)?
I got you.
Here are N (vehicle to reach that desire):
The template
I (did this amazing thing) in (short time frame)
You can steal my playbook (for free):
Cool, we have the templates. Now what?
Step #2: Learn the prompt
It's time to go to Tweet Hunter and open the AI assistant.
Once the chat box is open, copy and paste the following prompt:
Below you'll find a template I want you to fill out.
Only complete what's between parenthesis, leave the rest untouched. To fill in the parenthesis, follow the instructions inside that parenthesis.
The topic I want for you to cover is "YOUR TOPIC GOES HERE.”
This is the template:
HERE GOES THE TEMPLATE
Easy.
Step #3: Write the hook with the AI assistant
So now we have the templates and the prompts. Let's put them into action.
Here's an example of the prompt in action with the “climate crisis” topic and a random template 👇
Good job, robot! That's a solid hook.
Let's now use the two templates we've taken from our fill-in-the-blank hook templates. We'll use every template with a different topic to make it more interesting.
Template 1 + “Twitter growth” topic
The template
Looking for (audience desire)?
I got you.

I got you.

Template 2 + “Pokemon cards” topic

I turned Pokémon cards into a profitable side hustle in just 3 weeks.

How cool is this?
The AI assistant generated these hooks in less than 5 seconds. But that's not all; these hooks are just the beginning.
You can also:
- Ask the AI to iterate on the result and give you more options
- Change the topic to generate new hooks
- Feed it other templates
- And much more!
The possibilities are endless. This is a playground for creators.
Thread hooks are just the start
Hopefully, after this guide, you now have a collection of solid hooks from proven templates.
But remember, even if your hooks are the best in the world, you still need good content. If you lure people in, but your content doesn't deliver on your promise, they'll call you out. And with reason!
And that's all (for now). We'll be back with more AI tips and guides.
