Most supplements aren't worth taking. I only take: - Creatine - Vitamin D3 and K2 - Omega 3 - Magnesium I don't believe anything else is worth it without a specific reason. Do you take anything else?

Some guidelines I found online for a 180 lb man: - 65g of protein per day (I get that before lunch) - maximum 97g of fat per day (20-35% of calories) - Leaving 341g of carbs (!) to hit the recommended 2500 calories. Such a high carb intake for the average inactive person!

You can definitely build muscle with bodyweight exercises. Your muscles have no idea what resistance they're working to overcome. If it's difficult enough for you to reach MUSCULAR failure within about 25 reps, it will work for building muscle. t.co/Jq4c3881Mq

You only need a small surplus of energy when gaining muscle (100-200 calories). More than that won't = faster or more muscle gain. There's only so much muscle we can build and it's SLOOOOOW. Provide extra calories beyond this amount and you only add extra fat.

My preferred style of training has changed over time. At the start I shunned everything except barbells. I started to add in dumbbells... Later I started to realise machines were ok... Now I love machines and hardly use barbells!

You can't "tone" a muscle. Being "toned" is just being able to SEE your muscle. How you achieve it is by revealing muscle through fat loss. (you may need to build some first) t.co/jcxS337Ajb
