Since the rebranding of Twitter to X, standing out from the crowd has become even more difficult. This is why you need an automation tool to stay on top of the algorithm and grow your account. While there are several options in the market, Zlappo is one recommendation you’ll surely get from content managers.
But is it worth investing in? This post will review Zlappo's features, pricing, pros and cons to help you make an informed decision. Keep reading to see our verdict.
Review in Summary
While Zlappo is an excellent option for creators and solopreneurs looking to grow their brands on Twitter, the onboarding process is quite complex.
For a start, you have to sign up for a free Twitter or X developer account after signing up for a paid plan on Zlappo.
You’d then have to follow the process outlined in the image below:
After saving your API keys, you will have to go through this process every time you want to connect a new Twitter account which is frustrating. It’s also a similar process for other accounts like Instagram and LinkedIn.
Another issue is that there were no analytics on the app. Without analytics, you can’t easily spot patterns in your content that’s either increasing or damaging engagements. So this means you have to still purchase another analytics tool or manually review your metrics on Twitter.
So while it’s a great tool for scheduling tweets, for the price point, you can get a better deal with an alternative like Tweet Hunter.
Pros
- Schedule tweets, retweets, DMs and quotes
- There’s an integration with Gumroad to help you sell your products on Twitter
- You can cross-post on other platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn
- 30-day free trial across all plans
- Get inspiration from viral tweets
- You can upload bulk tweets using a CSV
Cons
- Long onboarding process and complex set-up when compared to alternatives
- Limited analytics and insights
- No AI writer or assistant
- No lead finder or a way to create lists with your favorite accounts
A Breakdown of Zlappo Features
Here are some top features of Zlappo you’d be sure to enjoy when you opt for this software;
1. Schedule Tweets, Threads, Quotes and DMs
The top thing Zlappo stands out for is its advanced scheduling features. Once you set up your draft in the content editor, you can schedule replies, retweets, quotes, and even DMs. There’s a preview panel that allows you to see what these tweets will look like in real time.
Depending on your preference, you could add it to a queue, choose a time slot, or even choose to schedule it months ahead. You can always edit the draft before it goes live and plug your resources into a reply hours after. We do recommend using the queue option and then just adding time slots as we encountered issues when trying the custom schedule option.
2. Get Post Inspiration
Sometimes, you need a little inspiration to compose a tweet especially if you need to schedule multiple of them. Unfortunately, Zlappo does not have an AI writer or integration with AI tools like ChatGPT.
However, it provides inspiration from an archive of top-performing tweets over the last few years. But since the content isn’t recent, the inspiration won’t help you produce original content that has the most potential to go viral on today’s Twitter.
So we recommend adding a fresh perspective or doing some more research with the inspiration you get from here. These tweets are grouped into categories to help you filter by the topics you have an interest in.
You can choose to sort these inspirational tweets by topics, the users who tweeted them, the minimum number of likes, retweets, replies, or even the date posted.
Once you find one you like, simply tap on the ‘Edit and Add to Queue’ button. You can then add a fresh perspective before posting.
3. Cross-post to Instagram and LinkedIn
Since it is primarily designed for people building a personal brand, there’s a high chance you also have an Instagram and LinkedIn account you’re trying to grow as well. This feature allows you to cross-post content across the other platforms you’re managing.
After setting up your draft, before hitting the ‘Save Draft’ or ‘Schedule Content’ button, tap on the Instagram and LinkedIn icons. This will automatically post the draft there.
You can also choose the format of how you’d want it to appear. So in addition to Tweets, if you upload multiple images on Twitter, they can be posted as a carousel on Instagram and LinkedIn too.
4. Manage multiple Twitter accounts
This feature sounds good in theory but when it’s time to set it up, you have to manually connect each of these accounts with their API keys which is a lot of work.
Depending on your plan, you can manage an unlimited amount of accounts and posting schedules from one Zlappo account.
After connecting multiple accounts on the settings page, you’ll get a dashboard that’ll allow you to switch between these accounts and actualize your content strategy.
5. Bulk Upload Tweets
If you work in a team where you batch-create content months ahead for approval, then there’s no need to copy and paste each of these tweets as a draft. You can simply upload bulk tweets you’ve worked on as a CSV and add them to a queue with one button.
This includes threads, quotes, and even media like images and videos. There is a CSV format you have to follow for this to work though. Fortunately, there’s a template attached in this section to help you make the best of it.
If you also have some old tweets you plan to repurpose or reuse, you can download your Twitter archive and add them to your current drafts. You’d find this in the same section where you bulk upload tweets.
6. Schedule Sales with Gumroad Integration
Having a Gumroad account helps you host your resources and products for sale. But by connecting this e-commerce platform to your Zlappo account, you can run discounts and sales on your Twitter account. To do this, simply visit your account settings and tap on the ‘Add Gumroad’ button. You have to make sure to set your Gumroad username in Gumroad for this to work.
Pricing - How Much Does Zlappo Cost?
Although Zlappo does not have a free plan, you get a 30-day free trial across its three paid plans. There is a credit card required so do keep this in mind. The paid plans are clearly labeled so you know who it's designed for. The cheapest plan which is at $12.49/month is for solopreneurs, the Hustler plan at $24.99/month is for creators and entrepreneurs while the Tycoon plan $83.33/month is for businesses.
The only real difference between paying $24.99/month and $83.99/month is that you get unlimited Twitter accounts and posting schedules instead of 10. But with this price, you can get more robust features like an AI writer on other platforms.

Key Takeaways
Overall, Zlappo is a tool that allows you to schedule tweets and post them on other platforms. But you’re not going to get any insights as it doesn’t offer analytics. It also doesn’t help you find leads and for the pricing, you can get more value for money elsewhere.
