I'm 23 here. Still 2 years until I started training. So glad I did. Can't imagine how bad I'd look and feel now with less muscle and probably about 50 lbs more fat. t.co/5X2VUUT6XN

Simple way to lose weight for FREE In fact, it will actually put money back in your pocket... It's called: Not eating as much.

"I'm too tired and I don't sleep well enough so I can't stick to a training program" Go to bed at 8pm if you must. Sort out your sleep hygiene. Even when I had a baby waking up 10 times a night (our first, was a nightmare) I did what was necessary to not give up.

Seeing the numbers on the scale go down is great... But do you know what's even better? Doing your first pull-up. Make that a goal if you can't - it's likely you'll have to lose weight to get there.

Lateral raises are one exercise you'll have to lift light on for a long time. This is a tiny muscle that has to move a weight that is far away. Go heavy and you'll miss working the medial deltoid altogether and turn it into an exercise for your traps. Keep it light.

"I'm training for longevity!" That's cool, but in that case you really should be training legs. Lower body muscle mass is a predictor of longevity and quality of life. I'm not sure the lateral raises are going to make much difference.

Your kids will never get so old that they don't still need you. My dad loved life but overlooked health – a mistake I'm committed to not repeating.
