Justin Welsh has gone from 0 to 200,000 followers on Twitter in the last 12 months. And he's built a MILLION-dollar one-person business on top of it. I studied his viral growth. It's a results of clear value and predictable systems. 10 Twitter lessons from @thejustinwelsh

1. Clear Value Proposition Make your value proposition obvious in your bio and your content. Justin is focused on a single niche: Helping solopreneurs build an audience and a business. His bio emphasizes that promise. And his content delivers on that promise.

2. Build a Publishing Habit To grow on Twitter you need to show up every day and provide value to your audience. For that you need a publishing habit. Justin's strategy: - 2 Tweets every day - 1 Thread every week If you follow him, you will see his content every day.

3. Educate Your Audience Use your expertise to teach valuable skills to your audience. For free! Justin's tweets and threads are highly actionable, and backed by real evidence from his own success. That's what makes them so valuable -

I made $0 online in 2019. 3 years later: - 100M+ impressions - $1.7M in online income - 4 successful revenue streams What changed? I started writing online every day. Here's my simple 4-step process. [Short 🧡]

4. Leverage Threads Threads bring you followers on Twitter because people like Retweet and share them. But not all threads are created equal. Viral threads - - Have great hooks - Clear outcomes - Quality content Just like Justin writes them -

I’ve done $2M in income in 2.5 years as a solopreneur. And I didn't write a single line of code. My 14 "must use" no-code tools: [🧡 thread]

5. Establish Relationships You cannot grow alone on Twitter. You must do it with a group of similar sized accounts. Build relationships with them, engage with them regularly. Justin has a core group that he engages with regularly -

Engage with 6-10 interesting people each week: Make it a habit to build connections. Here are some smart folks I've chatted with, just to jam out: @SahilBloom @Nicolascole77 @TheDanKoe @dickiebush @heykahn @aaditsh @wes_kao @blakeaburge @sweatystartup It's "social" media.

6. Reply under large accounts In the initial days, the best strategy is to engage with large accounts. That's how you get eyeballs on your content. But your replies must be meaningful and relevant to the niche. This is what helped Justin when he was starting out -

7. Build a Content System To produce high quality content you need repeatable systems and frameworks. You can't rely on inspiration alone. Justin has built processes to create content across channels. Including his Twitter, LinkedIn and newsletter.

My social media strategy: Tweets: 2x per day Threads: 1x per week LinkedIn posts: 2x per day Weekly Newsletter: 1x per week Then, each day I spend about 45 minutes interacting with my audience. Do this for 6 months and watch what happens.

8. Analyze and Improve All content formats start to go stale with time. That's why you need to continuously analyze results and improve your content. Experiment with new format and frameworks. Test them, and double down on the ones that work. Improve your content system.

9. Follow Best Time to Tweet Your followers are not up all day. They miss your best tweets. Find out the best times to tweet, use this free tool: tweethunter.io/besttimetotweet. And auto-RT your content after 9-12 hours to reach them on the other side of the world.

10. Diversify your channels Once you have a decent audience, it makes sense to diversify it across multiple channels. Justin had a huge LinkedIn audience before he came to Twitter. And he owns his audience by funneling them into a weekly newsletter.
