Let me give you a crash course on sales, believe me, this is worth the read 🧵 

I'm going to compare traditional businesses to our adult creator businesses (using Onlyfans because most of us are on it &  everyone understands it). But it applies to any adult niche 👇🏼

How does a gym get clients? 

-People walk in
-they see a commercial
-they hear a radio ad
-they get a postcard in the mail
-they come across an email
-they received a DM
 
The same can be said about Salons, restaurants, arcades, etc etc

What does that mean? That means for those businesses to have made those sales..
-people had to see their location
-the biz had to have a commercial
-the biz had to have a radio ad
-the biz had to send postcards
-the biz had to send emails
-the biz sent a DM

This in sales is called prospecting. 

Before you can make a sale, you need to prospect & find ways to sell your "thing" to people. This means you should actively be searching for users/potential subs daily.

You should dedicate at least 30-45 minutes every day to prospecting for your business.

Now this is the part where you're thinking.. but how? I'll tell you 😇

People need to 'see your location' which means focus the majority of your effort on 1 place/platform & drive people there. (You can have more, just promote 1 as your main) Too many options are costing you conversions (That's not an opinion, that's data).

You can't run tv commercials, but every Tiktok, reel, IG story, and Twitter post, is your commercial. If you were your target audience, & you watched your commercial, would you buy what you're selling?

We can't run radio ads, but we can make podcast appearances. Landing on podcasts like PlugTalk, or PillowTalk has drastically changed adult creators' careers. That is our modern-day radio ad. Any pod with an audience you want to target will help, even if it's not a huge podcast.

We can't send postcards by mail, but I like to think of mass DM's on my Free Onlyfans page as my postcards. It's a 'touch' to a non-paying subscriber that I can write & send once that ends up in thousands of 'mailboxes'

We (think) we can't send emails, but you actually can. You're not putting xxx content in there (obviously) or using explicit language (you'll get flagged). But you can build a fan email list, & target them with drip campaigns. (And you should be.)

Creators are afraid to DM back to people because they assume it falls under "solicitation". You're able to DM back your fans/followers as long as it's an authentic reply & you don't solicit. (I nvr DM first) Here's a script I've used that's worked 👇🏼

I didn't tell the fan to sub, I didn't include a link, I didn't mention a platform to subscribe to - I didn't "solicit". But if you have any fears (which is valid, as we get deleted all the time) then simply stick to doing this in Twitter DMs 🙌

Just because you have subs today, doesn't mean you will tmrw, few fans if any stay subscribed forever. If you want to stay in a state of 'growing' instead of 'dying' (there is no other state) then you need to prioritize prospecting. 

Because that's part of running a business 😎

One of the main reasons fans don't convert into paying subscribers is that you may not be giving them enough social proof to feel confident enough to purchase. Think about how you pick restaurants, amazon products, etc - you check the reviews right??

There's no formal 'review your favorite adult star' website (thank f*cking god) but that doesn't mean you can't collect positive reviews & testimonials from fans! Every time a fan says something kind I screenshot it & add it to a 'reviews' album.

I attach these reviews when I send out locked PPV msgs, or post locked videos on my feed. Because the review will give the fan confidence that he will like the content once he unlocks it.

That's the same reason my OF banner is all screenshot reviews; because fans thinking about subscribing to me can clearly see my other paying subscribers are happy. Consider working screenshots from happy subs into your content strategy. 

It may make all the difference!
