Someone in our #CEOsquad asked "How do you handle people constantly pushing for more or coming after your social accounts - How do we not let it get us down" 

I thought about this lots, and here's my 2 cents on it.. 🧵

As far as fans constantly 'pushing' for more, it's not going to fly. Under no circumstances do I allow the inmates to run the asylum. I'm not cruel, or harsh, but I have no issue reminding them that their $3 subscription doesn't entitle them to things I didn't offer.

Ex Scripts of setting boundaries: While I understand you feel that way, that's not something I offer, so your money might be spent better supporting another creator who does what you're looking for.

Often, after being told that they adjust their attitude. The same way creators can fall into the habit of treating fans like usernames, they too - fall into treating us like 'still images' without feelings. Kill them with kindness. That's not just fan advice - it's life advice..

As far as how I handle people 'coming after' my social accounts - I simply don't. I don't have any control over what other people do. I try my hardest to not waste time or energy worrying about things I can't control (which is hard) - but important..

I just started getting up at 5am for the purpose of needing 2 extra hours in my day to do everything my companies require. If I wanted to waste time worrying about things I couldn't control I'd just sleep in instead 😂  It's hard, but I believe it's a choice. I choose not to.

As for the 'not letting it get me down' part.  I'm not sure this is going to land well, but I'm going to share what I believe. I believe that as humans we do NOT have to behave in a way dictated by our emotions. Just because I'm sad I don't have to behave sad.

You can act "out" of accordance with how you feel. Just because I'm tired, doesn't mean I'm going to sleep in. Just because I'm craving chocolate, doesn't mean I'm having some. I'm actively working on being emotionally disciplined every single day. (And it's fucking hard..)

BUT, I have HUGE goals in life. And the only behaviors I'm allowing myself to partake in are ones that align with the outcomes I want in life.  My emotions don't decide those - my logic does. When you master that, outside events don't dictate your inside emotions anymore.

A mentor once told me being 'reactive' is a fatal flaw in business. I've never believed something more. I've never worked harder at building a character trait. Some days are harder than others, but regardless of how I feel, I'm going to 'do what is required'...

Probably not the answer people were hoping for.. Sorry about that, haha. But this is how I view things & why they don't impact me personally. Other people will be different, I can only speak for myself & through my own lens.. Hopefully it helps some of y'all 🙏🏼
