If they're a marketing company & have 100 - 1000 followers, how well do they market?

If they sell coaching/consulting but aren't themselves in the top 1% - how much do they know? 

If they aren't where YOU want to get - what can they teach you?

Despite the first tweet in this thread, I DO believe everyone on the planet has something to teach us. Everyone you meet will educate you on something, whether that be a lesson in compassion, ignorance, humility, & more. 

BUT, and this is a big but.. 🍑 lol

In business, only take advice from people doing better than you. Because business is a game where results are evidence that the playbook works. Success (however you measure it) leaves clues. I love my parents, they've taught me a lot, but I'm not taking business advice from them.

If someone actually had the roadmap as they claim to, they should also have the results. 

Don't be afraid to ask for proof & qualify them. (Especially if you're paying money).

I’m only sharing what's worked for me as an adult content creator, & not gatekeep info that might work for you. Nothing is ever one-size-fits-all, & certain tips are more valuable depending on what level you're at career-wise. Feel free to take what's useful & leave what's not ❤️
