“Competence is a moat” feels like both the canonical refutation of what people who theorized about moats would say and also absolutely accurate. t.co/fSYgo941ND

On the good news front it’s rarely “X can’t do Y” and far more often “X chooses not to prioritize doing Y and will continue choosing that forever unless heroic efforts are expended.” But those are basically the same in impact vis whether Y happens or not.
