Market, or make it? Many of the billions of people now getting Android phones aren’t a market in the traditional sense. They don’t have money to click on ads. But they might have the skills to complete microtasks. To train AIs, to make digital things.

PS: Yes, of course a user doesn’t directly need money to *click* on ads. But if an advertiser is showing ads to people without money, they are not going to see any *conversions*. So, the ad-based model that funded Google and Facebook is less applicable. New models may arise.
