Your mom lied to you. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. And here's 7 other pieces of health advice your mom probably lied about: 1. Veggies do not make you "big & strong". They contain very little protein which is the building block of muscle.

2. Eating after 8PM doesn't make fat. Too many calories make you fat. 3. Doing sit-ups won't get you a 6-pack. Get under 15% bodyfat to get a 6-pack. 4. Don't cut out carbs. 80% of the time eat whole foods. 20% of the time eat whatever you want. Sustainability = success.

4. Protein powder is not steroids. It's just protein, nothing fancy, but a great supplement to build muscle. 5. There is no such thing as the "fat gene". Epigenetics has proven that your behaviors alter the expression of your genes (meaning 99% can overcome bad genetics).

7. You don't need discipline. I was STUCK in this cycle for what seemed like forever. Lose 5lbs... gain 10lbs. Diet for 2 weeks... eat junk for 2 months. On my game... off the wagon. Sound familiar? The biggest thing we must figure out is how do we make our habits stick?

In my studies, I found a part of the brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). It's kinda like a camera lens. You know when you're trying to take a picture but the camera is focused on the wrong spot? That's what is happening with your RAS... t.co/iRPmllXGcm

It's focused on junk food, alcohol, netflix, etc. And your actions reflect that. Once you fix this - you'll change your habits at a subconscious level (default actions). This is the GLUE that makes the fat loss stick.
