In this thread I'm going to be breaking down 7 LIES about fat loss, and telling you exactly what works instead, so you can implement it yourself and see awesome results!

Let's go!

LIE: You need to do cardio

The only thing you NEED is a calorie deficit. 

Cardio can help create or increase the size of a calorie deficit, but you can easily erase this with your eating habits.

ESPECIALLY if you're using the weekends to 'treat yourself'

LIE: You must cut out carbs

Carbs aren't responsible for fat gain, and neither is insulin. 

Insulin is the mechanism through which fat is stored, but you can't store fat if you don't provide a surplus of energy (too many calories).  

There's no need to cut out carbs.

LIE: You need to do 'fat burning workouts'

There is no such thing.

Workouts help you burn more calories but no workout or exercise will burn fat directly. 

You can lose fat with 0 workouts and do it all through your diet.

Movement just helps you get into a calorie deficit.

LIE: Teas and pills can help you lose fat.
"Skinny tea" doesn't work.

Pills or anything that makes results seem effortless doesn't work.

This stuff has even killed some desperate people.

Avoid.

You need to put in effort for results.

LIE: "these 7 ab exercises melt belly fat!"

You can't spot-reduce fat. 

No exercise will target fat on a specific area of the body. 

I'll repeat: Fat loss requires a calorie deficit.

And you can't influence where the fat goes from, it goes from everywhere at once.

LIE: "this food burns fat!"

There are exactly zero foods cause fat loss from eating them.

There are no negative calorie foods.

Replace high calorie unfilling foods with lower calorie more filling foods to get into a calorie deficit.

That's the way to do it.

LIE: "light weight for more reps burns fat"

Completely wrong.

Don't do this.

At best this makes no difference.

At worst it's a good way to lose strength and muscle whilst losing weight.

Don't fall for these lies!
