If you strength train you will be stronger at 70 than untrained men in their 30s. Who wouldn't want that? Don't neglect such an ovcious advantage.

Calorie deficit = weight loss. Calorie deficit with high protein and strength training = fat loss. The second is the path to muscle gain as well.
