The Olympic spirit is about competition on a fair ground. In Paris, there will be athletes that have a cool room thanks to AC their country provides: everyone else might struggle to get a good night’s rest before competition if it gets hot (rooms could warm to 26C) Unfortunate. t.co/2F41ir3K5g

And yes, this choice is inexplainable by the organizers. It’s well-known that it’s difficult to get proper rest when it’s hot. Without proper rest, elite athletes will not be able to bring their best on competition day. This is a subpar Olympic village / accommodation. t.co/xnMQMB3NO4

Also like this in AMS. No one in my building is allowed to install AC units (building code regulations). So people (incl me) have portable AC units that are terrible in energy usage efficiency. But this is a purpose-built Olympics facility for athletes. t.co/rzvEaGRUir
