The importance of equity for employees: Hashicorp IPO'd at a $14B valuation yesterday. I know at least one engineer in the UK who made over $1M with their early equity grant. All Hashicorp employees did very well, thanks to the equity allocation they all got.
At the risk of repeating myself on why equity is important, and why you cannot call a company a startup if employees don't get equity: t.co/WxQ9pQh2mY
"What are companies I can join now that could be the next Hashicorp?" Impossible to tell. But I put a good amount of money on companies *I* think could be a unicorn one day. They all issue fair equity on top of a good salary: t.co/eqNNULgDmy
