People who never designed engineering interview loops always assume that getting rid of {stuff I don't personally like} is the way to go. It's not. Interview processes are full of tradeoffs and biases. It's a fine line to balance these & keep adopting. t.co/WN2AUPTu26
An example of what happens when you replace coding with reviewing existing GitHub code for seniors: You no longer collect the same signals for people. One person only has forks. The other adds tests a month later. Another has a private GH... Whoops. *More* biases & less signal.
