Remote work plus the influx of capital for startups is breaking what “competitive compensation” means outside US East/West Coast outside “Tier 3” companies. People in the US, Western EU and India are leaving with packages their current employer cannot possibly compete with.

By “Tier 3” this is what I mean: t.co/BHWctPBJLE Increasingly seeing Series A and beyond startups paying $ up to 150K for the right senior engineers, up to $200K for key managers/staff in base salary, almost globally. Plus stock.

I’m researching more on how remote is impacting the top end of the market. In low cost markets in these remote, well-funded places can even pay more (or at least match) than eg Amazon, Microsoft… and even Google. Feel free to DM if you have data and will share details I have.
