Lots of people: "I have no idea how to compare startup offers in a decision that impacts my next years." Resourceful people: "I defined these N dimensions important for me - between company, package, equity & culture - & reversed interviewed the companies to answer all of them."

Literally someone shared a Google Sheets table with 30 dimensions. They got details on option strike price, value, outstanding shares; talked w founders about exit plans and scenarios; talked about career development... Why? "It is the biggest decision of my next 3-5 years."

This candidate had multiple offers. Some companies did initially not want to share "confidential equity" information. They told them, ok, but given others shared it, they take it as a sign of a culture of secrecy and will likely pass. Most companies came around and shared...
