Every single day, I get DMs from adult creators asking me to do paid mentorships or consulting for them. Let me explain why I've said "no" thus far.. 🧵 Please read 🙏🏼

Right now, based on my earnings, giving someone an hour of my time costs me $350 I would earn making content/DMing fans or taking calls on @SextPanther . This means I'd need to charge you, the creator $350 (just so I don't lose money) to give you that hour of my time...

@SextPanther I know that some of you reading this are like "I can do that, I can afford that" Or "I know what I'll learn in that hour will help me earn $350+ more a month so it's worth it" And while I agree, there's more to it than just that.

@SextPanther In my schedule, I only have a few hrs a day to dedicate to something 'else' in my life right now.. This means doing mentorships can only happen with an extremely limited # creators. That's the part that turns me off. Because I want to help thousands of creators. Not a handful..

@SextPanther That's why I've stuck to publicly available info/courses. I want to impact a LOT of people, & not only the ones who can afford my time... However, I also believe that with the free info I put out here, a creator who puts in the work could genuinely build a $3k-$5k/m business...

@SextPanther With that being said, if you're at that $3k-$5k/m, (meaning you can afford a mentorship & are already someone who I know will take the info & implement) I'd be happy to mentor you. I don't want to make this my 'main thing' but I will make it available in general.

7 budgeting tips for adult content creators:

1. Determine your income goals. How much do you want to earn each month from your OnlyFans account (or other platforms)?

2. Calculate your business expenses. This includes things like content creation, website hosting, scheduling software for social, assistants you pay, and any other costs associated with running your creator business.

3. Subtract your expenses from your income goals to determine your profit. This is the amount you have available for living expenses, to save or invest.

4. Set savings goals. Determine how much you want to save each month and put a plan in place to achieve that goal. (Save 20% at least for taxes) Save EVEN more if possible. 

ProTip: Automatic bank transfers to your savings will make a huge difference

5. Track your spending. Use a budgeting app (Mint), your SWCEO planner, or a spreadsheet to track your income & expenses. This will help you see where you can cut costs & make adjustments to your budget.

ProTip: Make it a habit to try to cut expenses monthly, set a reminder

6. Be flexible and adjust your budget as needed. As your income and expenses change, make sure to update your budget to reflect those changes.

7. Stay on track and review your budget regularly.

Studies show if you wake up & check your bank account daily you save more money just by having awareness & attention to your spending. This will help you stay on track to meet your financial goals.

I'm slowly working towards (& nowhere close to achieving haha) living off 10% of my income. A lot of people overlook that reducing your expenses is AS IMPORTANT to accumulating wealth as making $... I'll explain..

A creator who earns $10k/m but only spends $2k in bills & living expenses (which is hard to do!) has a positive cashflow of $8k 👏 A creator who earns $50k but has $45k in expenses per month only has a cashflow of +$5k & is less wealthy because they retain less of their $...

It's not about what you make - it's about how much of it you can keep 🔑

I'm only sharing what's worked for me as an adult content creator, & not gatekeep info that might work for you. Nothing is ever one-size-fits-all, & certain tips are more valuable depending on what level you're at career-wise. Feel free to take what's useful & leave what's not ❤️

Both of the above statements are true. We often think there is only one “truth”; in reality, there are many.

My truth is that I have an extremely high threshold for discomfort, & an extremely unrealistic expectation for myself & the goals I want to achieve. Plz never be discouraged by that, because you can scale back (or up) so many of these insights to fit your personal preferences.

What's right for me may not be a great fit for you.. & what's right for me changes daily/weekly depending on what's going on in my life. (I'm betting you'll experience will. be similar) Also, I won't work at this pace forever - I'm doing it now because I'm building my dream home.

The takeaway ✨ Modify things to work for you, your life, your audience & your business. None of us are the same, we're too beautifully diverse of a community for anything to be one size fits all.
