š®) šš®šæšŗš¼š»š¶šš®šš¶š¼š» š¼š³ š£šæš¼š°š²š±ššæš² š³š¼šæ š š¼šš²šŗš²š»š š¼š³ šØš»š¶š šš¼š®š± šš²šš¶š°š²š (šØššš) Temporary import of ULDs outside Customs Area allowed, on lines similar to marine containers (Circular No. 31/2005-Customs). š£šæš¼š°š²š±ššæš² š³š¼šæ šØššš šŗš¼šš²šŗš²š»š: Execution of a Continuity Bond by air carriers/air console agents. Tracking devices/data loggers, if attached, must have Unique Identity Numbers (UINs) and be recorded during import. Tracking devices may have batteries and Bluetooth technology: Must comply with Ministry of Civil Aviation (BCAS) security guidelines. Proof of export of ULDs with/without tracking devices must be provided by the carrier. šš¹š®šæš¶š³š¶š°š®šš¶š¼š»: Notification No. 104/94-Cus does not exempt temporary import of loose tracking devices/data loggers (i.e., not affixed to ULDs). In other cases (e.g., importer other than air carriers), the Board Circular No. 51/2020-Customs shall apply.
šÆ)š”š®šš¶š¼š»š®š¹ š§šæš®š»šššµš¶š½šŗš²š»š šš¼š»š± š³š¼šæ ššŗš½š¼šæšš š„š²šŗš¶š»š±š²šæ: The All-India National Transshipment Bond was introduced in 2022 to avoid submission of multiple bonds at different Customs stations. šš±š±š¶šš¶š¼š»š®š¹ š³š®š°š¶š¹š¶šš®šš¶š¼š»: Transshipment requests at air cargo terminals can now be made through ICEGATE, eliminating the need to visit Service Centres physically. Encouragement: Airlines, Console Agents, and Air-transhippers should use this digital facility.
š¹ Other Points Any difficulties in implementing the Circular should be reported to the CBIC.
