State GST collections rose 70% in Dec 2023 The state recorded GST (goods and services tax) collections of Rs 2,578 crore in December 2023, an impressive growth of 70.07% from the Rs 1,515.88 crore collected during December 2022.

This is the second highest collection of state GST, official sources said. State GST collections up to December 2023 was Rs 17,419.6 crore compared to Rs 13,235.5 crore up to December 2022, registering a growth rate of 31.61%.

The collection under all acts monitored by the Commissionerate of commercial tax and GST, Odisha, during December 2023 was Rs 3,665.2 crore, compared to Rs 2,510.8 crore during December 2022, a rise of 45.98%.

Gross GST collections stood at Rs 4,351.4 crore during December 2023 compared to Rs 3,854.2 crore during December 2022, a growth rate of 12.9%.

The progressive gross GST collections of the state during 2023-24 till December was Rs 39,539.6 crore, an increase of 10.08% over the corresponding period of 2022-23.
