"ITC ON LIFTS" The contention of the GST Department is that Lifts are part of Building i.e. Immovable Property therefore, ITC on them is blocked U/s 17(5) of GST Laws. Lifts in my view in most of the cases can be best classified as "Plant & Machinery" and ITC should be allowed.
