Friends I feel there are certain concerns of small businesses about the special all-india drive against fake GST Registrations which are: They may not have the necessary documentation to prove that they are genuine businesses.

They may be unable to access the premises where they operate for verification. They may be targeted by tax officials even if they are not involved in any wrongdoing.

Here are some of the suggestions that small businesses have made to the CBEC and the state tax authorities: The drive should be focused on genuine cases of fake GST registrations. Small businesses should be given more time to comply with the requirements of the GST law.

The CBEC and the state tax authorities should provide more guidance to small businesses on how to comply with the GST law. The drive against fake GST registrations is a positive development, as it will help to curb tax evasion and fraud.

However, it is important to ensure that the drive does not unfairly target small businesses. The CBEC and the state tax authorities should take steps to address the concerns of small businesses and ensure that the drive is conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
