Business and tax consultants are demanding revised GST returns Prominent business and tax consultant associations in the city as well as the state have united in demanding filing of revised GST returns.

They stated that they are entitled to the same type of allowances being made in other tax systems including income tax, formerly value-added tax, central excise tax system and service tax.

Tax practitioner and Supreme Court advocate Pradeep Kanthide filed a double bench petition in the Supreme Court seeking relief for filing revised returns in GST.

The court accepted the petition and sent notices to the Ministry of Finance, Commerce and Investment Bank and the Goods and Services Tax Council respectively. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 8.
