The recently released World Mobile app in Zanzibar enables individuals to create a self-sovereign account using a Decentralised Identifier (DID) This empowers users by giving them greater control over their data and identifiers. [img:mUXyxVZNB]

Decentralized Identifiers DIDs allow individuals to create & manage their own identifiers independently of centralized authorities. This means that users have complete control over their DIDs & can verify the authenticity of information without relying on centralized authorities [img:4fmZ-q5V8]

DIDs offer several benefits, including increased privacy, autonomy, and trust in digital systems. With DIDs, users have greater control over who has access to their personal information. This can significantly increase privacy and security for users. [img:gif-BWQGcxzTS]

DIDs also provide greater autonomy over digital lives and more power to make decisions about how information is used and by whom. This can be empowering for users who want to take control of their own digital identity. [img:irjEjIww7]

By creating a more transparent and accountable environment, DIDs can improve trust between users, organizations, and systems. They can create a more trusted digital ecosystem that empowers users and fosters shared ownership. [img:VHNdcEkXx]

World Mobile is committed to building a new era of connectivity that empowers communities to take control of their connectivity. To learn more about Decentralized Identifiers aka (DIDs) you may read the following blog post: 🔗worldmobile.io/blog/post/decentralised-identifiers-an-introduction
